This week, I hopped on a trending topic:
"AI Girlfriends"
If you're familiar with ChatGPT, imagine that instead of chatting with a message board, you were sending messages to a videogame-like simulation of a human woman.
(AI Boyfriends also exist for straight women and gay men but the market interest in AI Boyfriends is not nearly as strong as AI Girlfriends for straight men)
When I first found out that this was even a thing, the first question that popped into my mind was, Should women be concerned about this??
What is the potential impact on men?
What will this do to their expectations of human women in relationships?
Will they opt out of dating real women altogether because AI caters to their needs so effortlessly? (and if so, is that actually for the best, for them to self-select out of the dating pool?)
Could the ripple effect of consequences be even darker than any of that?
Watch the video to hear my thoughts on all this - you may be pleasantly surprised!
Oh, and here's that CNN feature on the topic:
What do YOU think?
